[ Hilda is waiting for him. And honestly, him taking a little bit of time to find the loft isn't something that annoys her. It gives her much needed time to do a quick clean of the space realizing that she can't have his first impression of their living space as a mess.
As soon as she hears the knock at the door she moves to fling open the door all while trying to keep two leosylphs and an excitable wyvern pup at bay. ]
Kaveh! One moment just - oh no!
[ But as soon as she opens up the door all three of the creatures come barreling through right onto Kaveh. ]
( Oh those are-- a lot of animals. Kaveh finds his arms suddenly full with a-- is that a dragon? And moth... cats? He tries to keep his balance and mostly succeeds with the help of a few wingbeats, and once he rights himself he gives Hilda a small, hopeless look. )
[ Despite their enthusiasm, let it be known that the residents of the loft really had taken care to socialize their pets. They just really love visitors. The bundle of fur and scales is amusing to look at ]
I'm sorry - here.
[ With a deft confidence of an owner who has multiple pets and has had to do this several times over she scoops the squirming leosylphs up, ignoring their protesting mews. From over top two fluffballs she offers him an apologetic smile. ]
Some days it feels more like a farm than a loft. Good news though! I think they like you.
[ As she ushers the two leosylphs back into the loft by essentially tossing them into the air where they gracefully take flight, both gliding aimlessly around the space before settling on their cat beds perched at the top of one of the many bookshelves in the shared sitting area. With those taken care of she reaches for Khurshid and Kaveh is free to stand up. ]
Here, come in. I put the kettle on for tea. I figured we could do with a little refreshment while we get you measured.
You really are far too kind, thank you. ( His eyes follow the cats, though he does seem to smile at them, as well as the little dragon creature she fishes out of his arms. ) We never had a pet when I was a child, and then once I graduated I was far too busy to ever entertain having one. I suppose I could try and get one now, but--
( Alhaitham would have something to say about it if he brought one back in Sumeru. And here -- well, he's too new and Dan Heng hasn't given him a kitten yet. )
But yes-- tea, please. I've been meaning to see if I can get coffee beans somewhere here, actually.
