You make a very good point. We could probably get back into some good graces by asking for help with research while we're at it just to make the... incident [ because that's definitely what it was - ] a further thing of the past. But wait a minute, what's wrong with daggers? I happen to like the ones you've both bought me!

Hilda? I just want to make sure you're all right.

During Portal Chaos

[ Approximately 20 seconds after Sylvain had walked through a portal with his lovers, only to emerge on the other side... alone. ]

...Hilda? Did I miss something especially shiny in the magical black hole?

There was no bowtie. He did mention some of you have been dressing him up.

It's impressive. You both should be proud.

[ HE IS DEFINITELY WORRIED, HILDA!!! ]

Are you okay??? Where are you?!

That'll happen when a portal surprises you. Sometimes even when you're expecting it. Geralt hates portals, even when they work properly.

Don't worry about me. I'm safe. But not home.

I'm in Solvunn. And you?
wiedzminka: (two hundred & thirty-eight.)

shh

None of us ever were. [ Ciri reminds her gently, her smile waning into something a little sad, tinged with nostalgia that feels so out of place. As though she's reminding them both. ]

There's still a lot I'm--

Processing, perhaps, is the word. I assume we all are.

[ The question isn't one she expected. Ciri blinks, distracted from the subject momentarily. Ah. Yes. ]

That's right. His name is John.

[ Another, more heartfelt smile. ]

Geralt's taken a liking to him. He's a sweet man. You should meet him sometime.

[ Goats. Oh, thank goddess. She's not in Thorne. Although she'd probably find Solvunn a worse inconvenience. ]

Goats have fur, you know. Maybe you should snuggle one for warmth. They're kinda cute.

[ That is absolutely not what he should be focusing on right now, but it's holding off his further freakouts temporarily. ]

You're not hurt? Are there others there?

Well, I think we'll find out on that one once we walk in and see what the reaction is. No time like the present to find out, right?

And should I be worried or impressed this has somehow overtaken being known for our garden? Oh, and now seems like a good time to mention I've found another plant to bring back with me just to see what it'll do.

I'm not getting in the middle of that.

[ He's being a good boyfriend and keeping his robot fashion opinions to himself. ]

He's still your son.

Enjoying your second trip to Solvunn so far?

But if you're already covered in mud anyway what's a little more? Besides. I thought you LIKED mud.

[ He response is worrisome anyway. he's never been to Solvunn, he has no idea what to tell her to look for. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. I seem to be one of the few who managed to get where I was supposed to.

Can you go look for Claire?

I kinda think that's something you and I shouldn't flinch at by now.

[ Since, you know, they'd been on the receiving end of it. Many times. ]

We have a book around somewhere to double check for that, don't we?
